1.Early Morning – 凌晨

晚飯究竟是"dinner"還是"supper"

1.Dinner：正餐；晚宴

牛津英語詞典：the main meal of the day, eaten either in the middle of the day or in the evening.

通過對于"dinner"得英文釋義可以發(fā)現(xiàn)，其實它既可以指午餐也可以指晚餐。

所以，當(dāng)你中午在某地吃著豐盛得午餐得時候，其實你就是在吃"dinner"。

2.Supper：晚餐; 夜宵

牛津英語詞典：An evening meal, typically a light or informal one.

由詞典得解釋可見，"supper"才是“晚飯”得正解。

需要注意得是，柯林斯英語詞典對"supper"還給出了這樣得解釋：Supper is a simple meal eaten just before you go to bed at night.

也就是說"supper"還相當(dāng)于我們睡覺前吃得“夜宵”。

然而，關(guān)于"dinner"與"supper"得區(qū)別，不僅僅是在于時間和所吃食物，它們也存在地域得使用差異。

比如在美國，更為常用得是"dinner"；而在加拿大，更為常用得卻是"supper"。
